Dawgs for Christ

Dawgs For Christ will have their last meeting of the year this on Thursday. April 26. Jaden Poole,Natalia Figuera, Allyson Schall, Evie Miller and  Maria Rossi will each be bringing 2 dozen donuts. Camryn Rush will bring 1 dozen donuts and 1 gallon of juice while Sophia Legue will be bringing 2 gallons of chocolate milk and Sophia Tristano will be bringing the paper products.  Our President, Ethan Wharton will be giving the final message of the year and you won't want to miss it !!!!


Attention Seniors:

The list of students who meet the criteria to graduate with an Honors Diploma is now posted in all Senior English and Senior Math classrooms, in addition to the Counseling Office. All seniors who believe they meet the Honors Diploma requirements are encouraged to double check this list. If you see any discrepancies, you must notify your school counselor by Friday, April 20.

Any senior that has enlisted in a branch of the military, please see your counselor as soon as possible so that you can be recognized at the Senior Honors Assembly.


Craving some Pizza? Well you are in luck because the NJROTC cadets are selling the Domino's "Slice the Price" card. What is this great deal you ask? First the card is good for buy a large pizza, get a large pizza FREE! The card sells for $10. If you use the card just one time, it more than pays itself. Use the card as many times as you would like until 31 December. Its also great for parties! For example, Buy 10 large pizzas, get 10 large pizzas FREE! The Slice the Price card is valid for deliver or carryout. Find a NJROTC cadet and get your card soon, as this fundraiser ends May 2nd.

Youth Nations

Are you interested in developing leadership and diplomacy skills? Join students around the nation at Youth Nations, a week long, interactive global leadership experience hosted by The University of Toledo. Visit utoledo.edu/honors/youthnations by June 25th to register. Tuition for the program is $475. 

Freshman Mentoring

Are you currently a sophomore or a junior?  Do you enjoy helping new students? If so, you should apply to become a Freshman Mentor! See either Senora Ditty in room 901 or Ms. Blaney in portable 2 for an application.  The deadline to have everything turned in is April 25th!

Show Choir

Auditions for both of Grove City's competitive show choirs are coming up!!  Touch of Class and Class Act both had extremely successful years this past year and are looking to continue our successes in the 2018-2019 school year, but we need you!!  If you are interested in auditioning for show choir here at GCHS, dance clinics will be on Monday, April 23 and Wednesday, May 2 - both from 4:00-5:30 pm on the stage. Be sure to wear clothes you can dance in!  Auditions will be held on May 8 and May 9. If you are interested in checking us out but aren't sure if you'd like to audition yet, you are more than welcome to attend our dance clinics! If you want to see a show choir performance so you know what we do, come check out the Grove City Show Choir Spring Showcase on Friday, May 4th at 7:00pm in the GCHS auditorium.  We will be accepting donations at the door. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Klein in the choir room.

National College Fair

Join Ohio State and nearly 200 other colleges and universities at the Columbus National College Fair, a free event for students and parents on Saturday, April 21

Interested in Sports Medicine?

Interested in Sports Medicine? Nationwide Children’s Hospital is hosting an athletic training workshop in June. The cost is $110 and you can visit NationwideChildrens.org/athletic-training-workshop for more info and to register by June 1st. 

Help Wanted

The U.S. Postal Service is looking for City Carrier Assistants Immediately. They pay $16.78 per hour. Requirements are to be a US citizen, 18 years of age, and a safe driving record. It does require Sunday hours. You can apply online at www.usps.com/careers 

The Columbus Dispatch is looking for folks to fill entry-level production positions in their packaging department at their printing facility at 5300 Crosswind Drive off Georgesville Rd. Prom Dance Guest Forms

Prom dance guest forms are now available in the main and guidance offices.  These forms must be turned in, along with a copy of your guest's ID before you can purchase prom tickets.  Completed forms can be turned in to the main office. All dance guest forms must be turned in no later than Friday, May 4.  No dance forms will be accepted during the week of prom.

Teen Ambassador Board

The Teen Ambassador Board will be entering its fifth year under the direction of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. The mission of the Teen Ambassador Board is to provide Ohio’s future leaders with an inside look at our law and government. The Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board consists of high school juniors and seniors from public, private, home, and charter schools throughout Ohio.  Board members serve a one-year term and have the opportunity to meet with Attorney General DeWine and visit our Columbus office. They will also be invited to attend events around the state throughout the year, will learn about important issues facing our state and its families, and hear from other officials.
