Career Academy Applications

Reminder to all students interested in applying to the Career Academy.  Applications are due TODAY Friday, February 16th.  Don't miss the deadline!

Behind the camera lens and a few simple snaps you can capture memories of students at GCHS. Join yearbook and you can zoom in on all aspects of student life at GC. Apply today! Pick up an application in the Guidance Office or in Room 303.


At the Columbus Blue Jackets Game on the 2nd of February, the NJROTC Color Guard presented the colors in front of 18,000 fans during the National Anthem. The team consisted of Alexis Robison, Emily Bunsey, Connor Garrett and Aaron Berecz. Great job representing not only Grove City High School, but the community at large.


Attention Juniors:  Remember that applications for next year's Senior Only Programs are open until March 2nd.  Current Juniors may apply for the STNA program through Grove City HS, the Logistics program at Central Crossing, the Construction Trades program at Westland, or the Customer Service & Support program at Franklin Heights.  There are no prerequisites for these programs other than a desire to earn a certificate.  Students applying must have reliable transportation to participate in these single courses for certification, but would return to GCHS to take the remainder of your class schedule.  Interested students must apply at www.swcsdcareertech.com by selecting "Apply" and choose "Senior Only Programs".  See Mrs. Williams if you have any questions!

Youth at the Booth

Attention seniors who are in good standing and at least 17 years old:  Youth at the Booth is looking for students to work at the polls on Election Day.  Join a new generation of poll workers, gain valuable service experience, and earn $148.00.  You must attend a 2 ½  hour training session Friday, April 6th from 8:00-10:30 at GCHS and work the entire day from 5:30 am to 8:30pm on Election Day Tuesday, May 8th, 2018.  Interested students need to see Mrs. McIntire in room 905 to pick up the necessary forms.  All forms are due no later than Thursday, March 1st..

Attention all ALC students, please send pictures from your ALC class for the 2018 yearbook. Make sure the pictures are primarily of GCHS students. Please email your pictures to heather.sayre@swcsd.us

Franklin County Youth Council

The Franklin County Youth Council is a leadership program for high school students to provide leadership and improve services for youth in Franklin County. The FCYC is presently seeking high school students between the ages of 14 - 18 to become actively involved in the council for 2018-2019.

A few FCYC components:
- To meet with key individuals to address how various issues affect youth and policy development
- To create and promote positive activities and opportunities for youth
- To develop and enhance leadership skills, and participate in leadership trainings
- To take part in focus groups and dialogues to develop community service projects addressing youth concerns
- To learn about civic and social responsibility to make effective community changes

- To work with other youth organizations and participate in PEER trainings for developing youth programs
FCYC Requirements
- Reside in Franklin County
- Ages 14 - 18
- Grades 9 - 12
- Complete FCYC application, letter of recommendation and interview process

All track athletes, There will be a parent informational meeting Wednesday, Feb. 21st @ 6:30 in the commons area.  All needed information packets, dates, and essential details will be covered pertaining to the upcoming season which starts on March 5th.  A current sports physical and emergency medical card must be completed by March 5th in order to participate in practice.  Any questions, see Coach Jane Taylor or Coach Blankenship.


Softball tryouts begin Feb 19th. Please see Coach Williams or Coach Fullen for a softball packet.


Baseball Candidates— The Rec Center will be open at 2:30 on Monday with tryouts starting at 3pm. Please bring inside and outside gear all week— 2 pairs of shoes.  


Any boys interested in playing soccer next year for Grove City High School should plan to attend the parent meeting on Tuesday, February 20 at 7:00 PM in the high school auditorium. For questions please reach out to Coach Mulvany.
